Messika has long been a red-carpet favourite, and celebrities such as Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid, Adele, and Selena Gomez, to name just a few, have all been spotted with the dancing diamonds of Messika enhancing their couture. But the Parisian jeweller is mostly known for its everyday diamond collections inspired by fashion.

Creator and founder Valérie Messika has always been fascinated by the diamond. She worked alongside her father, who was a renowned diamantaire, and was inspired to give the diamond freedom of movement amongst her creations, and design contemporary diamond jewellery that breaks the traditional codes of jewellery design. It is perhaps the unique designs of Messika that afford it such celebrity status, or perhaps how each stunning piece radiates an imitable beauty that cloaks the wearer in elegance and sophistication.

Messika’s jewels encourage women to become what they are: brilliant, free, sensual, sparkling and more. A woman who is modern, confident in herself, who chooses the diamond as an everyday companion as well as to mark the most beautiful occasions in her life. The Woman according to Valerie Messika

The Evolution of Move

It was in 2007 when the Move collection first came onto the scene, becoming the signature collection for the Maison and a blueprint for future design innovation. Encapsulating the freedom and beauty of the diamond, one or three diamonds slide along their cage which is defined by soft lines and sensuality. This is the very heart of Move’s DNA which has been beautifully preserved whilst the luxury jewellery designs of the Move collection evolve around it. From Move Classique to Lucky Move, Move Noa, Move Uno and more, there are now more than 350 beautiful diamond Move creations that make up the Move family. This flexible design transcends generations of enthusiasts who admire the hypnotic and iconic designs of Move, with designs available in a selection of white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold.

The Perfect Alliance

Messika’s My Twin collection unites a pair of diamonds that embrace a pendant style aesthetic. An elegant emerald cut diamond forms the perfect alliance with a beautiful feminine pear cut stone. Although the diamonds are quite unique in their shape and identity, they complement one another, fulfilling Messika’s vision to enhance the diamond.

The diamond drop earrings can be worn either as an emerald cut stud or with the pear cut diamond drop, according to your signature style, and each stone is further elevated by a brilliant cut diamond surround. The stunning two-row diamond necklace from the same collection embraces the trend of layering with two chains of differing lengths adorned with brilliant cut diamonds and an elegant partnership between the emerald cut and pear cut diamond.

2022 has seen the resurgence of the “Toi et Moi” ring, also known as “You and Me”. This historic ring setting was first popularised in 1796 by Napoleon Bonaparte who gifted a diamond and sapphire toi et moi ring to his wife. Symbolic of love stories and unity, this style of ring has become a much-admired engagement ring.

Messika’s toi et moi creation is the epitome of contemporary diamond jewellery, with contrasting cuts and size of diamonds and the emerald and pear cut diamonds romancing one another either side of the finger as they unite.

My Twin collection also includes a slender bangle and trilogy ring featuring a pear cut, emerald cut, and oval cut diamond on an invisible setting that gives the illusion of scintillating diamonds floating across the fingers, embracing modernity and sensuality.
