In 1917, during World War I, Cartier created the very first Tank watch to present to General Pershing of the American army as a gift. Many years later, Cartier created the Tank collection, which has become iconic and gained legendary status across the globe.

Each watch features a square or rectangular face containing Roman numerals that act as hour markers, with the time indicated by sword-shaped hands. Finished with a Sapphire tipped crown, it has an elegant but hardened look about it.
