History of Breitling
Léon Breitling was a watchmaker in St. Imier. He soon became widely recognized for his skilled pocket watchmaking and developed a formidable reputation. After this, Breitling started making chronographs as these were in demand for industrial and military organizations. After Léon Breitling passed away in 1914, the watchmaking business became a family affair. His son, Gaston Breitling, took over the business. Their innovation, entrepreneurship and drive pushed Breitling watches to develop and become world-renowned for quality and precision.

Caring for your Breitling Watch
As Breitling watches are so special, it is essential you look after yours and keep it looking and operating at its best. If you wear your watch on a regular basis, the sweat and grime that builds up throughout the day will leave it with a layer of dirt. To avoid this building up in and around your watch, you must clean it correctly. It is recommended that you clean your Breitling Watch periodically with a toothbrush and soapy water, rinse it under a thin stream of water and dry it with an absorbent cloth. If your Breitling watch has been submerged in chlorinated or salty water, you should carefully rinse your watch head under a thin stream of water and dry it with an absorbent cloth.
