This season, our unveiling of our new collections brings a new kind of trend; circle jewellery. The circle is a symbol used ever since man could first start to write. There are extensive meanings to the circle, with it representing totality, wholeness, eternity, timelessness and perfection. So it’s no surprise then that this symbol has started filtering into jewellery. Circles not only represent infinite time, but are also said to ward off negative vibes, meaning that wearing circles can make you feel more positive and content.
In our latest collections, we have a wide variety of different circles; from simple and chic gold circles on thin and delicate chains for every day wear, to diamond embedded circles suitable for occasion or eveningwear, we have a lot to choose from. There are also choices in the form of interlocking circle necklaces and bracelets in multi coloured metals, as well as small hoops linked together on jewellery pieces that would be the perfect gift.
Another circular shaped jewellery item that is a hit for this season is the huggie hoop (link to previous blog article). A huggie hoop is a small hoop that nestles against your earlobe for a demure yet contemporary aesthetic, and one that is versatile enough for both day or night.
All of our circular jewellery would look fantastic alone, but to really elevate the style, would look great layered with one or two more pieces. Stacking jewellery is another trend for this season when it comes to accessorising, and circular pieces look great combined with all manner of different styles.
You could increase the number of hoops you wear together for a ‘curated ear’, or you could pair a solid gold bangle with a delicate chain with circle detailing for a nice contrast. Layering necklaces is also a trend that is both stylish and effortless. Mix and match your colours in the form of pairing rose gold with white or yellow gold, or mix your chain sizes.
The opportunities have no end, just like the beautiful shape of the season.
