This season, more is more, and we have an abundance of beautiful jewellery pieces that can be layered alongside one another to create a new stacked look each and every time. There are no real rules on layering and it’s entirely down to the individual to come up with a special stack that is entirely their own, but for ease we have put together some handy tips if you’re just starting out your layered journey.
When it comes to bracelets, there are two main types; delicate and statement pieces. You can use a bracelet to accentuate your outfit and look, or use one to elevate your outfit from every day to extraordinary. You can wear fine, delicate bracelets layered together and there are bonuses for wearing those with small charms or gems. This season we have everything from infinity bracelets to hearts, and more.
With statement pieces, you can wear these double or even triple stacked and there is a contemporary aesthetic in mixing metals, with yellow, rose or white gold pieces being layered. When choosing statement pieces, it’s a good idea to keep the rest of your outfit chic and understated and really let your jewellery do the talking.
For the best of both worlds, you can stack thicker, statement pieces, and fine delicate pieces together on one wrist, or have two layered looks on different wrists and separate the stacks out.
When it comes to layering necklaces, there are a few ways to make sure that you always look stylish- and that your necklaces don’t end up getting tangled! Necklaces of different weights and lengths are a great decision, as not only will you be able to see each necklace and its details, it will ensure they lay nicely over your outfit. This season we have a multitude of necklaces that can be layered up, from gold lockets and St Christopher styles, to ones with gemstone, diamond or pearl pendant detailing.
We also have some great choices from some of luxury brands like Gucci and Fope. You can of course wear these as individual pieces, but we like the way that they work with other pieces that may be in your jewellery box. It’s all about working out which ones fit together, like a fun jigsaw puzzle!
Rings are probably one of the simplest jewellery pieces that can be layered together. Whether you wear just one ring on several fingers, or several rings on one finger, stacking rings is a stylish and modern wear to wear them. We have a wide range of rings available both online and in our stores, and these are everything from yellow, rose or white gold pieces, gemstone or diamond pieces and much more.
We have specially made stacking pieces that work well with other rings, so can easily be added to your existing collection and ring look. We also have various different gemstones available, and these can look great layered together for a fun ‘Tutti Frutti’ aesthetic.
Obviously layering earrings is entirely dependent on one thing- whether or not you have multiple piercings. The layered or ‘curated ear’ has been a very popular trend within the jewellery industry over the past couple of seasons and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon. Layering your earrings is a great addition to any updo, and while there aren’t any definite rules to this, people often agreen that the larger earring, particularly the larger hoop, would go in your ‘first’ ear piercing, with them gradually getting smaller up your ear. If you have alternative piercings like helix piercings or a tragus, these look great with many different styles, from delicate diamonds to beautiful pearls, to hoops and small shapes.
